Simplicity

I have found that I am most productive in a simple, clutter-free living space. Because of this, I chose to keep my room predominantly monochromatic with a crisp color scheme incorporating pale pinks. Not only is a simple aesthetic pleasing to the eye, but it is a huge factor in motivating me to keep my space tidy. If you are looking to clean up your act this year, I recommend limiting the presence of trinkets and wall clutter so there are no excuses for a messy room!

Bedding

Bedding can completely transform a room. If you are looking for a quick fix to a bland space, grab a few fun pillows and revamp your room in seconds. I adore my graphic lips pillow from Society 6. While style is definitely important, comfort is, of course, a top priority when designing your bed. I balanced out my printed pillow with comfy throw pillows from Target and probably the softest sherpa blanket you will ever nap with from Pier 1 Imports.

Wall Decor

Spice up your boring walls with fun prints! I am obsessed with my “Too Glam to Give a Damn” art piece from Verrier Handcrafted based in New York City. The colorful piece brings a playful dimension to my space. In addition to my Verrier print, I have two framed posters above my bed. As I mentioned before, I chose to keep my space fairly monochromatic and these prints follow that theme while adding something more to the walls. The pieces can be found on Society 6 and the thin, black frames were purchased at Ikea. Little art pieces can completely alter the vibe of your space and transform your room for the new year!

Aesthetic

Don’t be afraid to incorporate decor pieces to bring your shelves to the next level. I chose to style my shelves with adorable mini succulents to give my space a more lively feel (not to mention they are very trendy at the moment!) Additionally, I picked out a fun canvas print from Pier 1 Imports. My favorite part of my shelf is undoubtedly my pair of pink fluffy heels. Shoes like these deserve more than the closet floor and add a fun, girly flair to my display shelves. When decorating, it is super helpful to combine storage with decoration as I did with my shoes. Do you have a favorite pair of heels or a to-die-for hat? Use it to decorate!

Work Space

I am definitely looking to be more productive in the new year as I’m sure many of you are as well. To me, one of the primary steps to productivity is finding a good workspace. Because of this, I was sure to stock my desk with only the cutest supplies. Small touches, like my rose-gold stapler or glittery planner for example, are not only practical tools, but they can make a huge difference in elevating the style of your space- not to mention they make homework cute (a seemingly impossible feat)!
